March 28, 2008 · 2 Comments

Hello everybody,

According to a study conducted by the Texas University, positive emotions help reduce high blood pressure in older people. The participants, more than 2,500 people with an average age of 72.5 years, responded to a questionnaire that evaluated their levels of emotions. The researchers concluded that the higher the level of positive emotions, the lower was the level of blood pressure.

This investigation shows the relationship between thoughts and emotions and the development of certain physical processes.

Taking into consideration that thoughts can be controlled, the research team involved in the study suggests to take care of the emotional well being of older people. If we help them to develop positive emotions, hypertension can be prevented and as a result, the diseases related to it.

How about a cruise to the Mediterranean sea with your parents or in-laws? Don´t you think it would be a wonderful and positive experience for them? A piece of advice: with the fall of the dollar, buy your cruise ticket in the USA and pay it with US dollars. Paying it with Euros will take you to the poor house and all the positive thoughts will be gone with the wind.

Have a great weekend,
